Welcome to Fleet Flooding
The local community site for residents of Fleet, Hampshire and surrounding areas.
This area has a long history of flooding and the long-suffering residents have had to put up with ever-increasing occurrences of flooding, both in their homes and gardens, as well as the local public roads.
To add to the misery of this situation, a large number of these incidents involves internal and external foul water (sewage) flooding, ruining properties, threatening health and making local people’s lives a misery.
In spite of all this, no definitive action has been taken. The local Thames Water pumping stations continue to fail and we, as a community, are left fighting to try and get someone to do something about this, not easy when you are just one person trying to take on might of a large company but hopefully a little easier with the local community standing together as one.
This website has been setup for you to air your views, share the images of the damage this is doing to your lives and to publicise once and for all, a problem that no one wants to claim responsibility for.
Thames Water state, “Sewer flooding is unacceptable and we treat all cases with the highest priority”. Sadly We have seem little proof of this. Time to make a change.
